Written in the Bones. New comic, written by Christopher M. Jones & illustrated by Carey Pietsch.

I’m hoping to have printed copies of this at MOCCA, ABPCC, and TCAF this spring, and SPX in the fall! More info to come.

God in Heaven, give me the strength to keep from curling into a ball and dying.

Scenes from 1963 March on Washington. The march was documented by James Blue and restored by the US National Archives. The *entire film can be seen on the US National Archives Youtube Channel.

*The audio from 23:13 to 29:44 in this film has been redacted due to a copyright restriction by Dr. King’s family

A cooler gif-set I’ve never seen.

king-of-jaffahampton asked: there was already a Batman TAS soundtrack that came out a couple years ago :)

Thanks! Someone else let me know, as well! The first one is out of print, but there was a 4-disc “Volume 2” that I just bought, and honestly that’s the one I wanted anyway because it has the Feat of Clay scores on it. I am PUMPED.

thedemented1 asked: what comic/graphic novel is your most prized possession in your collection? (if you have a comics collection)

maisonimmonen:

We conferred. We don’t actually collect anything, least of all comics, but we do have a couple three things that, off the top of the head of the collective brain trust, stand out: Steranko,  Graphic Narrative, which is the catalogue from the Winnipeg Art Gallery show in 1977, the first printing of The Adventures of Tintin: Breaking Free from Attack International in 1988 and the two published issues of Big Numbers.  There are a bunch of other bits and pieces floating around but you could do worse than these three (well, four) tomes.

Great question, thank you.

kristaferanka:

god, theres no way to just pick one.

it’s a three-way tie. and I’m judging these based solely on the emotional resonance i had with these stories at the time i read them and what they mean to me.

so it breaks down as such

Hellboy Vol 4 Conquerer Worm (and the whole series to be honest)

Garth Ennis’ Punisher Max, love the whole run but specifically vol. 9 Long Cold Dark is my favourite

and then Captain America & Bucky by Ed Brubaker, Marc Andreyko, Chris Samnee & Bettie Breitweiser
